A Little Peak

Hey guys! I hope your Sunday is going a relaxed as mine is :)

Yesterday we went ice skating and the people at the skate rental place gave Joey some skates with toe picks on them (He had never used those before). As you can imagine he fell pretty hard... and hurt himself pretty bad. However, once he switched his skates out he was super duper fast again.(He is always the fastest person at the ice rink)  But the fall left him pretty sore, so we took the morning off and have been hanging around the casa. It has given me plenty of time to prepare a nice little sneak peak for my new shop that is launching in a few weeks. So here it is!

These are a few of my favorites of the pieces I have been working on. So there you have it! A little taste of my work! Thanks for checking it out!

The Iowa Adventure

Hey guys! Wow! It's already been almost a week since my first post! I'm just so exhausted when we get back to our hotel room every night to even think about writing a whole blog post! Joe and I are in Burlington, Iowa at the moment working on a job for my dad's company, North American Survey Corporation (or NASCORP for short). We basically have 155 miles that we are supposed to walk. Here is a video of what we do: My dad chose this job specifically for us because it was Joe's first time and it was supposed to be an easy one. Well, we get out on the right of way (The path we are supposed to walk) and it looks like this: So we are either pushing our way through very tall very thorny bushes, or we are navigating our way through very tall very sharp corn (which was only supposed to be ankle tall by now) :(  In two weeks we have made it  about 30 miles. So after walking through that all day Joey looks like this : Isn't he adorable? But today is our last day here so...

Honeymoon Part Dos!

Hello Everyone! Sorry I've been out of touch the last few days. My husband and I are on part 2 of our honeymoon, -A Carribean Cruise! It has been such a blast! There is so much to do on and off the boat and there is so much food It's insane! It's literally like a 5-star hotel on the water! Almost everything is included, our meals, movie in the room, room service, broadway shows, and I have to say the tax and duty free shopping is wonderful! Of course we have had our mishaps. For example, we had just boarded the ship and it hadn't even left the dock yet but we decided to go ahead and get some lunch at the fancy restaurant just to check it out. It's beautiful by the way and the food is delicious! Anyway, I had just recieved my steak and I accidentally spilled my water all over myself and my food! It turned out OK though because our waiter just brought me a brand new steak! How crazy is that!? It was awesome! (except for the part where our suitcase hadn't been deli...

The Waitressing Side of Life

Hello good readers! I have missed you all dearly :) Today I want to talk about something that I feel should be common knowledge but for some reason people don't seem to know: Restaurant Etiquette - With the main focus on how to treat your server As someone who has been a server for all of my young adult life I have declared myself an expert in the matter. Before we get started, let's take a sneak peek into the life of a server. Servers do not get to eat at the normal meal times. Servers make $2.13 an hour in the state of Texas. It varies from state to state but the general idea is that they are employed by the people they are waiting on. Servers do not get free food whenever they want. Servers have to smile constantly for hours at a time. - Regardless of how rude people are. Those are just a few of the things that servers have to deal with on a regular basis.  Now don't get me wrong, I love my job. The people I work with are nice, the food is delicious, and there i...
