Finally!

Hello Everyone!

I know it has been ages since my last post, (that seems to be the start to most of my post doesn't it?) Anyways, we have just been suuuuuper busy lately! In the last couple of months Joey and I have bought our first home and moved to College Station -which by the way has just been so fun! We spent quite a few nights sleeping on the floor but we have since fully furnished and decorated the whole apartment! (I'm quite proud of it if I do say so myself ;) Joey has burrowed hard into his studies -He is a mechanical engineering major at Texas A&M and I am a proud aggie wife! I have gotten a few jobs since I've been here. Jumping around a bit until I find the right one. Right now I am waiting tables at an adorable little restaurant called Maddens and I love it there! The food is to die for, the management is so nice and the owners are the sweetest little couple! There is one problem, I don't make a whole lot of money. So I picked up a 2nd job that's not as much fun. I sell subscriptions to the local newspaper. Yeah it's pretty lame but anything to bring in some bacon right?

If it makes you guys feel any better, this isn't my only project that has taken a back seat to the real world! My jewelry shop was put on hold for a while until we could get settled in. But I have been hard at work the last few days working on some new stuff so be prepared to see a bunch of new items up on the site! (and not just jewelry either!) That's right! I'm branching out! Also be checking back because I plan on posting some pictures of our new place here!

One last thing. I just have to tell you guys about my new found love/obsession! It's called Pinterest! Its fabulous! Go check it out and you will know what I mean! Be prepared though because you are about to start wasting a lot of time online!

Until next time...

-Tabitha

My Beauty Routine

Hello Loves! I've had some questions about my beauty routine and I decided that although I don't have any secret magic make you beautiful potion, I can share what I do have :) I have recently decided that I really really want to be healthy, inside and out. So I've started (trying) to eat healthy(er) and exercising. But I think that should also include beauty products that don't have a lot of preservatives and chemicals. Think about it, you use this stuff EVERY DAY! All of those bad things like parabens and alcohol sink into your skin and scalp and do damage slowly but surely. So I decided to go natural. Now, I know what you're thinking, that going all natural is totally unreasonable and EXPENSIVE but I have searched high and low and I think I have found some very nice and reasonably priced (rhyming is fun) products that I have been using and I can confidently stand by.  Let's start with the hair shall we?   Now, I am no stranger to hair colori...

Pre-Movie Blogpost

Hello friends :) It is Wednesday and tomorrow my husband takes his citizenship test as he is from England originally. He is a bit ridiculous in that he is only now picking up the 100 question study guide for the test. He will probably still get a 100 on the test simply because he is a genius. So frustrating for us regular folks who actually have to work hard just to seem smart.  I spent my day just hanging around the house cleaning things and working on my new online shop  Here is a link to the etsy and facebook page:  http://www.etsy.com/shop/AgainstTheWindDesign http://www.facebook.com/pages/Against-The-Wind/223030597739114 It seems so official! I have been planning on opening a shop of my own for a while now and it's actually about to happen! I am so excited! I will be selling all handmade jewelry to start out with and I will branch out eventually to hair accessories, scarfs, and at some point I'll start my own line of clothing :) We will see how it goes....

The Waitressing Side of Life

Hello good readers! I have missed you all dearly :) Today I want to talk about something that I feel should be common knowledge but for some reason people don't seem to know: Restaurant Etiquette - With the main focus on how to treat your server As someone who has been a server for all of my young adult life I have declared myself an expert in the matter. Before we get started, let's take a sneak peek into the life of a server. Servers do not get to eat at the normal meal times. Servers make $2.13 an hour in the state of Texas. It varies from state to state but the general idea is that they are employed by the people they are waiting on. Servers do not get free food whenever they want. Servers have to smile constantly for hours at a time. - Regardless of how rude people are. Those are just a few of the things that servers have to deal with on a regular basis.  Now don't get me wrong, I love my job. The people I work with are nice, the food is delicious, and there i...
