Tuesday Treasures!

Happy New Year Everybody!

I know I am a day or two late but, what the hey! It's a new year!
--That means new beginnings and New Years Resolutions!

Here are a few of mine:

  1. Get my office (which is a poor mess) nice and tidy
  2. Keep up with my blog a little bit better (I'm starting out strong don't ya think?)
  3. Read the whole bible this year (Joe and I have received our One Year Bible so that should help)
  4. And of course, Be a better wife!
But enough about me! Let's get on to what this post is really about. When I started this blog, I wanted it to be about fashion and beauty and all of those things that us girls really love. -But it seems to have turned into me just talking about myself the whole time (shocker I know).

Anyways, that's why I came up with this:

TUESDAY TREASURES
Cute name right?

Tuesday Treasures will consist of several categories in which I talk about things that I like. And as the name gives it away, I will post a new one ever other Tuesday! (It's a bit much to put on my crazy schedule to do one every week. But I will still post in between so don't be discouraged!

All right let's get to it! OMGoodness I am so excited!

  1. Trending - In this category I will highlight a current trend that I happen to enjoy and a current trend that I simply do not understand. This should be fun!
Well the trend that I am loving right now is actually just a color but it is showing up EVERYWHERE! I didn't like it at first but I have to admit that it has grown on me. This trend is Mustard Yellow! I know, it sounds like a terrible color! But check it out:

Adorable right? I know! The only thing that I can advise you though is to avoid wearing too much of it otherwise you will actually look like a mustard bottle. And maybe avoid pairing it with red or you will end up looking like this guy

A trend that I just do not get is wearing rain boots when it is not raining outside! Seriously! Giant rubber boots are not cute! No matter what color, pattern, brand, or price tag they have!
Don't get me wrong, I have rain boots and I like them very much. But I save them for a rainy day ;)
Let's get this straight:
Cute
(Notice the Rain)

Not Cute
Even if they do match your hair...

2. Get it For Less - In this category I will show you 3 similar items of clothing with 3 very different price tags. Mostly just to show you that in order to dress fashionably, you don't need to spend a lot of money.
Ok, here we go. See if you can guess which item has the highest price tag.
                            1                                         2                                          3

You can find Pants #1 Here for $1,090
Pants #2 are Here for a whopping $24
And Pants #3 Here Come in at $240
Did ya guess right?
It's OK if you didn't, they all look the same. (That's the point!)

4. Featured Blog - This category is fun because I will feature another blogger that I think you readers will be interested in. I feel like I am in an online community and I should be a good neighbor.
Today's blog is written by a group of girls

I truly admire their message. Click Here to go see what they have to say!

5. Yummies - This category speaks for itself! I will post something that is totally delicious!

Homemade Chicken Pot Pie is a favorite of my husband's, and the best part is, it is super easy (and cheap) to make!
Here is the Recipe!

6. Shop Update - Here I will post a new item in my shop!

Here is the latest

Super Cute right!?
Here is the link!

So, There you have it! Tuesday Treasures!
I'm so excited and I hope you are too! I will most likely add a few categories as I think of them. That's the beauty of having a blog!

Well, have a good night ladies and gentlemen!
Cheers!
-Tabitha

The Iowa Adventure

Hey guys! Wow! It's already been almost a week since my first post! I'm just so exhausted when we get back to our hotel room every night to even think about writing a whole blog post! Joe and I are in Burlington, Iowa at the moment working on a job for my dad's company, North American Survey Corporation (or NASCORP for short). We basically have 155 miles that we are supposed to walk. Here is a video of what we do: My dad chose this job specifically for us because it was Joe's first time and it was supposed to be an easy one. Well, we get out on the right of way (The path we are supposed to walk) and it looks like this: So we are either pushing our way through very tall very thorny bushes, or we are navigating our way through very tall very sharp corn (which was only supposed to be ankle tall by now) :(  In two weeks we have made it  about 30 miles. So after walking through that all day Joey looks like this : Isn't he adorable? But today is our last day here so...

Honeymoon Part Dos!

Hello Everyone! Sorry I've been out of touch the last few days. My husband and I are on part 2 of our honeymoon, -A Carribean Cruise! It has been such a blast! There is so much to do on and off the boat and there is so much food It's insane! It's literally like a 5-star hotel on the water! Almost everything is included, our meals, movie in the room, room service, broadway shows, and I have to say the tax and duty free shopping is wonderful! Of course we have had our mishaps. For example, we had just boarded the ship and it hadn't even left the dock yet but we decided to go ahead and get some lunch at the fancy restaurant just to check it out. It's beautiful by the way and the food is delicious! Anyway, I had just recieved my steak and I accidentally spilled my water all over myself and my food! It turned out OK though because our waiter just brought me a brand new steak! How crazy is that!? It was awesome! (except for the part where our suitcase hadn't been deli...
